Racquetball from 5-7:30, then another full day of writing until 5. Into 4 and 5, outlining and drafting the first 5,000 words of each chapter. I'm always moving from specific paragraph to overall storyline, specific word choice to the larger arch. Back and forth, that's really what writing these things is about. Some things can't be rushed. I need to remember that.
Made chili after 5 and spoke with Chris at 8. I read for an hour after dinner, but it's hard to focus for more than a ten minutes because my mind wanders back to the book. Hmm. Not sure what to do about that.
Talked with Alice at 9, then went to bed at 9:30.
