Copenhagen, Denmark, Day 1 at Sea

We only had a half-day to see the remaining sights of Copenhagen, so we hit the Lagkagehuset bakery, had our latte and pastry, then walked to the Little Mermaid ten minutes away to take a few pictures.

While taking photographs, we could see our ship, the Regal Princess, in the distance.

We had two sights left before packing up and heading off to port: 1) Botanical Gardens, and 2) National Art Museum.

We waited about 25 minutes before the National Art Museum was open.  It was sunny but still a little cold.

Once inside, I viewed a painting I studied 30 years ago, by Andrea Mantegna.

We didn't have much time here, so we walked through the gallery pretty quickly.  We were also starting to get museum feet.

By noon, we were back at the Adina Hotel, packing up and checking out.  We used Uber, which came in three minutes!

We were on our ship by 1!

One of the first things we did was complete the treasure hunt on board.  We retrieved five stamps from five different locations on the ship, then turned in our card.  Alice's name was the very first drawn!

She won two coffee cards, allowing us free specialty coffee drinks and ice cream for the duration of the cruise.  Sweet!

For dinner, we ate at Crown Grill, a specialty restaurant, for steaks and lobster.

It was very good and by the end of the meal we were totally stuffed.

Lobsters were small but tasty

Dessert was yummy
After dinner, we were ready for bed.  It was only 8:30, but we were done.  Alice found old Love Boat episodes on our TV, so it became a nightly ritual for her, watching an episode or two of Julie, Doc, Isaac, Gopher and Captain Stubing make dreams come true from the '70s.

By the time we woke up, our ship would arrive in Oslo, Norway.
