Up at 6 and wrote until 11. Now that I'm working on the last 25 chapters, the entire story is swirling inside my head. All these little details are reminding me of other details that aren't yet in the book. I'm organizing all my notes, of which there are hundreds, into a systematic means of keeping all the ideas accessible before I forget them. Such a strange, unnatural way to go about organizing my thoughts. The last third of the book feels like a real detective procedural. Lots of forces at work conspiring against the kids, which is good I guess. As long as I can maintain my spirits and keep thinking positive thoughts about my writing, I should be able to wrap up the novel before Alice and I leave in early June.
