Day - 1682 - Tokyo, Japan

We e-bicycled around our Shinjuku neighborhood in the early morning hours...

...then went to Ichiran for breakfast, an Alice Wu favorite spot for 24-hour Ramen.

After breakfast and biking, we took the Yurikamome subway line to the Digital Light Museum near the Port of Tokyo, crossing Rainbow bridge to get there.

We'd purchased tickets in advance for this extremely cool, very popular light experience.

There were several rooms that had different light effects, as well as tree-house type nesting areas to lie down while a light and music show projected onto a doomed ceiling.

In the cafe, we had tea that blossomed into light inside our cup . Very cool!

We spent about two hours at the museum, then went back to Shinjuku for another Alice Wu favorite restaurant, Katsukura, famous for their breaded pork chops (Tonkatsu).

so good!

We had another 30-minute wait in front of the restaurant, but like the others it was worth it.

After lunch, we headed to Shibuya station for the famous Shibuya crossing.

By the time we finished it was time for dinner.  We went to one of the Keio department Store for take out and had an early dinner in our room.  We slept a few hours, then went out again for a 2 a.m. snack at a 24-hour cafe that made pot stickers and beef liver.  was in heaven!
