I helped Alice stain her back deck today. We bought supplies last week and started in on the desk around 11 this morning after waiting for the fog to lift. We finished at 2:20. It was hot once the fog burnt off. In the distance at Golden Gate Park we heard the Bluegrass Festival in action. The deck looks good and should be protected for about five years.
Afterward, I took a shower and a long nap while Alice continued working. Once she gets going, it's hard for her to stop. We had a delicious dinner at 6 and watched 60 Minutes at 7. I read for the next few hours while Alice watched her shows. She crashed at 10 while I watched an episode of "Finding Your Roots." I like this show.
