I wrote from 8-6, focusing on the right way to begin Introducing Girls. I've decided to begin with three perspectives (Kelly, Annette and Jamal) and slowly grow the number of perspectives as the book develops. Near collisions unifies the three characters in the first chapter, Kelly running into Annette, Annette almost running into Jamal, and Jamal running into Kelly. Not sure if it will work, but we'll see.
I spent more time ironing out the three perspectives in chapter one than I would have liked, but that's how openings always go. They're the most important paragraphs of the story. I hope the beginning isn't too busy. It won't work if it doesn't flow.
